Fan Advisory Board Elections 2026
As we approach the end of the first full season of the Burton Albion Fan Advisory Board (FAB), we’re proud to reach an important milestone: our first annual FAB elections. In line with our Elections Policy, a minimum of three FAB members will stand for re‑election each year, ensuring regular opportunities for new voices from across the fanbase to join the Board. You can read the full policy here: https://www.burtonalbionfab.co.uk/home/governance
How the Election Process Works
Supporters who wish to stand for election can do so by completing the application form at this link - https://forms.gle/xW8YCdoXbPGDLYiU8
The closing date for applications is midnight on Monday 13th April 2026.
The form asks for:
Who you are
Your experience and areas of expertise
What you hope to contribute as a member of the FAB
Once applications close, the FAB, supported by the FSA and a Club Representative, will review all submissions and shortlist candidates for interview. Successful candidates will then go forward to a public fan vote. Details of the voting process will be shared soon.
Elected members will begin their term in June 2026, serving for three years, unless they choose to stand down or volunteer for re‑election earlier.
Who Is Standing Down or Up for Re‑Election This Year?
As this is our first election cycle, the current FAB agreed which members would be up for re‑election this year and in the following two years.
Two members volunteered to step down or stand for re‑election:
Hannah Williams
Keith Legrice
A vote was then held within the FAB to select the third member for this year’s cycle. The member chosen was:
Ben Boocock
Roles Available in This Election
Three seats are available during this election cycle. If you’re passionate about Burton Albion, committed to constructive dialogue, and eager to help strengthen the relationship between club and fans, we strongly encourage you to apply. We are especially keen to hear from supporters who are female and/or are disabled so we can ensure this section of our fanbase can be represented with insight, passion, and lived experience.
What Does Being on the FAB Involve?
To help supporters understand the role, we’ll be hosting a FAB Drop‑In Session before the Bradford game:
🕧 12:30 – 14:30
📍 Community Trust Building
📅 Saturday 21st March
Whether you’re considering applying or simply want to learn more about the FAB’s work, you’re warmly invited to come along, meet the team, and ask any questions.
If you can’t attend, you’ll find plenty of information on our website: https://www.burtonalbionfab.co.uk or you can email us directly: burtonalbionfab@gmail.com
What FAB Members Do?
FAB members represent the fanbase across a wide range of topics, from matchday experience and season tickets to the long‑term direction of the club off the pitch.
Key responsibilities include:
Taking part in monthly online FAB meetings, where fan‑raised topics are discussed
Attending quarterly meetings with club representatives, covering club updates and engaging in constructive debate
Contributing ideas to help the FAB improve communication, transparency, and representation
There is plenty of scope to get involved beyond meetings, especially if you have ideas that can help strengthen the FAB’s impact.
Good Luck to All Applicants
We’re excited to begin this next stage in the FAB’s development and look forward to meeting many of you at the drop‑in session. Thank you for your continued support, and good luck to everyone taking part in the election process.
